After a �ight from India, my home, to thebeautiful city of Bangkok, �ailand,I decided to stay by the beautiful river Chao Phraya at Hotel Ibis River side. An economical hotel option, just a little farfrom the Airport.

It’s always buzzing with life… a must visit for thrift shoppers.

at Po is one of the many beautifulBuddhist temples we visited. �ere, the mainattraction was the huge statue of reclining Buddha. According to the guide it’s over40 meters long.

�e Grand Palace was the house of the Great King Rama I.
What really fascinated me was theminiature replica of Angkor Wat ofCambodia. I wonder how they managedto do this in a time when photographywas not invented.

Ferry rideon the‘River of the King’
You get to enjoy a cool ferry ride on the ‘River of the King’ before you reach ‘Wat Arun’, the temple of dawn. �e temple had really scary steep steps.
�e next stop was China Town. It’s quaintand the smell there was a little too strong for me to handle.

�is is a bridge with a great historyon the river Kwai. For thosewho’ve seen the movie don’t need theguide’s commentary.
�e lunch at the restaurant by the riverwas the highlight of the visit.

Speed boat to the island
oh Samet islands was the nextdestination. After an exhilaratingspeed boat ride we reached there. It mademe feel like a kingpin in the Bond movies.
