Registration in Released-Time Seminary
The bishopric oversees the registration of those who are eligible for seminary…. The bishop and his counselors encourage “all youth of the appropriate age (generally 14–18) to participate in seminary.”
Seminary and institute personnel are authorized to request appropriate information about potential seminary students from ward records (see Handbook 1: Stake Presidents and Bishops, 11.1.4) —2010).
From this information, S&I personnel determine who to expect in seminary and the names of additional potential students who are not enrolled.
