PEGGYMORRISON
has been selected as the October winner of the TJRH Service Excellence Award for adapting to CHANGE!
According to the values of the TJ Pledge, we adapt to change by:
• Being a part of the solution when I am presented with a challenge
• Embracing change and set the example for those around me
• Accepting openly when there are changes that TJ Regional and/or I have no control over
• Managing the expectations of others by explaining duration and next steps as often as needed.
Peggy was recognized for showing these qualities. The following submission was received about Peggy:
Peggy has adapted to a lot of change over the past few weeks; from getting a new boss to having to work overtime because of a no call, no show and the one visitor policies. Peggy gets yelled at when visitors are wanting to go back and switch in and out with other family members. Peggy remains calm and explains our policies effectively. There is no one like her!

The MissionThe MissionCONNECTIONCONNECTION
A Message from the DirectorA Message from the DirectorBenjamin Franklin once said, “Change is the only constant in life.” As each of us reflect upon the past two years, I think we could all agree that “change” would have to be the primary description of our lives. While many of the changes we have experienced have not been what we would have hoped for, there has been an incredibly positive change that has also happened right here in southcentral Kentucky.
In 2014, the T.J. Community Mission Foundation (TJCMF) was created with the purpose of supporting and enhancing the mission of T.J. Regional Health. This newsletter will become a primary way that we at the TJCMF share with you exactly how donor partners just like you are helping fulfill that mission. In doing so, we will continue to build healthier communities for our family, friends, and neighbors to call home.
Whether through the construction of the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, through the creation of our Car Seat Program for families in need, or through placing lifesaving equipment in the hands of local law enforcement agencies, the T.J. Community Mission Foundation is becoming a force for positive change in this region. Thank you for being a part of that change!
Serving one another,
Executive Director

The $7,000 donation was the result of the recent Golf Scramble hosted by the Rotary Club in support of Shanti Niketan. T.J. Community Mission Foundation Executive Director, Randy Burns said, “We are just overwhelmed by this gift and so thankful to Glasgow-Barren County Rotary Club for their partnership with us on this wonderful facility that will serve so many for years to come. Also, thank you to all of the businesses and individuals in our community who supported the Golf Scramble through sponsorships or participation!” Presenting the check to TJCMF Chairman, Doug Landers, is Rotarian Daniel Byrd, Golf Scramble Coordinator.

Diversity and Inclusion at work and beyond are
essential to an organization's success, but if
individuals don't fully understand the perspective
of others, it is difficult to truly become a team. In
this session we will discuss common assumptions
and biases and learn the art of being truly
inclusive.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT HOW WE TRACK TIME***
Starting October 10, 2021 you will track your time using UKG Dimensions. The new timekeeping system will replace the Novatime Timekeeper that you are currently using to timestamp and request time off. Paylocity will remain in place for any HR/Payroll information.
What do I do next?
A HealthStream assignment will launch in the upcoming weeks to provide training, so that you will know how to enter your time and enter any future time off requests.
As with any change, there will be a transition period, but please know that are resources available to assist you and that we have the best team dedicated to our success. As we go through this together, let’s support our managers and each other.
UKG Dimensions has replaced Novatime Timekeeper as our time-keeping system. UKG is what you now use to timestamp and request
time off. If you have any ques-tions, please reach out to your
manager/supervisor.
While the Rehab team misses our Annual Not So Scary Trick or Treat, we did our best to honor our younger patients by offering them a trick or treat opportunity inside the clinic on their therapy days. We loved seeing the costumes, the laughter, and joy these very special children bring to us!
T.J. TEAMIn all my years of being in a hospital, visiting or staying with a loved one, this hospital is absolutely at the top of my list as the best ever. They have the kindest staff I have ever come in contact with. From the ER, ICU Unit, to a regular room, they went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to take the very best care of our loved one. God Bless this hospital and its wonderful staff!

Christmas Elves
We are looking for families within our T.J. family who might be having difficulty this year meeting the demands of Christmas. We may have some-one who has fallen upon hard times and just needs a little help to bring the Christmas spirit home. Maybe someone in your family has had sickness, loss of a job, a death in their immediate family or some other devastating loss. If these or any other situation that we have not mentioned fits you or one of your co-workers, we want to help.
First, we would like for the receiving families to remain anonymous. An employee may apply for yourself or you may apply for a co-worker. Appli-cations must be returned to the Human Resources department. Applications are due by November 9, 2021. The application can be found attached to the all employee email from Neil last week.
Second, we are seeking TJ departments to spon-sor a family. Department Directors will coordinate the project within the department. The department will be assigned a family by Human Resources.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together within our departments to help a fellow TJ team member and their family this holiday season. We look forward to making this a merry holiday season for TJ family members in need.
