Sensomer
* CT-400 PolymerProduct Description:
Sensomer CT-400 polymer is a naturallyderived, multifunctional polymer for use in haircare formulations providing improved deposition, distinctive sensory and enhanced conditioning. When used in shampoos, Sensomer CT-400polymer deposits silicone more efficiently andconditions hair more effectively than standardcationic conditioning polymers. The improved
efficiency of the polymer allows formulators toreduce the amount of silicone and cationicpolymer needed to produce formulations thatgenerate smooth, silky, healthy looking hair thatis alluring to the eye and to the touch.
Sensomer CT-400 polymer is a cationicderivative of cassia gum, a galactomannan with along history of use in Ayurvedic medicine to treatskin ailments, indigestion and pain.

Very efficient silicone deposition aid
Good surfactant compatibility to generateformulations with medium clarity
Generates high levels of coacervation
Highly substantive polymer Enhances comb properties of hair in both the
wet and dry stage
Generates clean and fresh wet sensory
Leaves dry hair feeling soft and conditioned
Effective frizz control to leave hair lookingsmooth and silky
Enhances viscosity of anionic surfactant-based formulations
Enhances foam richness to generate a longlasting creamy foam in surfactant-basedformulations
Versatility to provide enhanced conditioningfor a wide variety of hair types
Applications:
Conditioning shampoos
Hair treatments
Smoothing shampoos
Body washes
Hair conditioners
Facial cleansers
Due to the high charge density of these naturally derivedpolymers, best results are obtained when surfactantconcentration is >12%.

Chemistry:Sensomer CT-400 polymer is a cationicderivative of cassia gum. Cassia gum is anatural, vegetable-based carbohydrate based
on mannose and galactose sugars and is amember of the galactomannan family ofpolysaccharides. The cassia gum used toproduce Sensomer CT-400 polymer is basedon a combination of cassia tora and cassiaobtusifolia which grow wild in tropical zonesaround the world.
Cassia gum is modified with the quaternaryammonium compound, hydroxypropyl trimethyl-ammonium chloride, to generate SensomerCT-400 polymer. The chemical identity of
the polymer is 2-hydroxypropyl-3-trimethyl-ammonium chloride cassia. The combination ofcationic charge and unique molecular structureprovides Sensomer CT-400 polymer with itsunique deposition characteristics and distinctivesensory.
Storage and Handling:
Packaging: Polyethylene lined, heavy dutypaper bags with a net weight of 20 kilograms.
Shelf Life: Two years from date of manufacture.
Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, cleanplace away from direct heat or sparks.
Material Handling:
Keep bags of product sealed until needed. Keep partially used bags in a humidity
controlled room to prevent moisture uptake. Avoid creating dust. Maintain good
