Talent mobility within the European Union
Awareness Campaign
Spreading the word and fighting misconceptions
1
Awareness is an important issue:
Awareness is important to join demand and supply of jobs: both are already there, but in different places
Companies do very little to support the talent mobility that they need: this should change
We need to get to the right people in order to be effective in our actions
Universities are not offering international curriculums and they are not valuing international experience and foreign languages
Every campaign needs some clear goals…
1. Our efforts need to be known by the outside world
2. Positive experiences are there and need to be known: we need to spread the word
3. Mobility has barriers: talented young people need to be aware of them and know how to overcome them
Our blog, our actions
• Talking about current affairs related to mobility• Informing about the actions we are undertaking• Ask people who are already “out there”: What is
their experience? What is the reality regarding mobility according to them?

Why Talent Mobility is so important
Reduction of unemployment/oversupply of qualified labour
Personal development for students abroad
Intercultural exchange and creation of a European identity
Ensuring international competitiveness and transfer of knowledge
• Carlos, Spanish, 27, electrical engineer• Wants to gain practical experience• Can´t find an internship in his country• Mobile• Speaks English, little bit of French and German
Limitations…• Where can I find job offers from other countries?• How do I know about the companies’ reputation?• What are the language requirements?• Which documents do I need?• Will I feel welcome in the new country?
• Company XYZ operates in the automotive industry
• Has a high demand for interns in all technical areas
• The HR Manager doesn´t receive enough applications to cover the need
• Wants to integrate employees from other European countries
Limitations…• Where can I publish my job offers so that they are
seen by talented students?• What about their language skills?• How can I compare grades?• How can I help the students to feel welcome and stay
at my company?
