mit Foundation was able to award nearly $1.2 million in grants and scholarships in 2009.
While the dollars distributed are more signifi cant than ever, The Foundation funded just 60
percent of the dollar amount of the grant requests from the nonprofi t organizations in Sum-
mit, Park, Lake and Grand Counties over the past two years. Acknowledging the tremendous
needs in the community, The Foundation depends upon contributions from everyone in the
community – residents, second homeowners, businesses and visitors – to meet the commu-
nity needs.
