Individual travel to the Alpine metropolis of St. Moritz, where numerous luxury hotels, spas and upscale shops can be found. Overnight in St. Moritz.
The Bernina Express, which was classed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008, runs through the ancient landscape of Switzerland’s beautiful region of Grisons. Making short work of the 55 tunnels, 196 bridges, viaducts and steep inclines the Bernina Express is not to be missed.

Day 2: Bernina Express
Board the narrow-gauge Bernina Express at St. Moritz station and enjoy one of the most impressive scenic rail journeys Switzerland has to offer. Climbing over the spectacular Bernina pass to more than 2253 m, you pass snow-covered mountain peaks and glaciers then descend towards Poschiavo and Brusio and inally reach Tirano in Italy, which is the end of the Bernina line. Day 7: Montreux – Gstaad (ca. 330 km)
Drive through the orchards and terraced vine-yards of the Lavaux and further to Lausanne, the second-largest city on Lake Geneva. Make sure you visit the Olympic Museum. Continue your drive to Freiburg, the largest medieval town in Üecht land. Further on your way you will pass the Greyerzer region, with its rolling green landscape. Overnight in Gstaad.
Day 8: Gstaad – Lucerne (ca. 315 km)
Before you continue to Lucerne, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the chalet village Gstaad. Continue your drive to Interlaken. From Inter-laken you can experience the majestic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau summits. If you have some time left before you head to Lucerne, Berne is the place to spend it. The old town of Berne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 9: Departure Lucerne – Zurich

Day 2: Zürich – Appenzell – St. Gallen

After breakfast drive to St. Gallen with a stop-over at the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest water-fall and stopover in Appenzell. The Appenzell region is known for rural customs and tradi-tions such as the ceremonial descent of the cattle in autumn and cultural events such as folk music and rustic dances, as well as hiking tours in the Alpstein region. St. Gallen, the compact metropolis of eastern Switzerland between Lake Con stance and Appenzeller-land has a charming, trafic-free old town. Overnight in St. Gallen, Hotel Einstein (or similar).
Day 3: St. Gallen – St. Moritz (ca. 185 km)
Continue your drive and have a stopover at “Heidi`s Village” in Maienfeld. The town in-spired the poetess Johanna Spyri to write her novel Heidi. In the Heidi village, the story of this cheerful, nature-loving little orphan girl comes to life at the original locales of the story. Continue your journey to St. Moritz. Day 9: Departure Lucerne – Zürich

Lucerne is the gateway to central Switzerland at Lake Lucerne and it is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. One of the highlights along the Grand Tour lies in Lucerne – the Chapel Bridge. The covered, wooden pedestrian walkway on the Chapel Bridge was built in the 14th century. Day 6: St. Moritz – Lugano
(Bernina Express)
Board the Bernina Express at St. Moritz sta-tion and enjoy one of the most impressive scenic rail journeys Switzerland has to offer. Climbing over the spectacular Bernina pass to more than 2253 m, you pass snow-covered mountain peaks and glaciers then descend towards Poschiavo and Brusio. After travelling over spiral viaducts and through winding tun-nels, you reach Tirano in Italy, which is the end of the Bernina line. Change to the Bernina Express Bus which will take you onwards to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano.
Day 7: Lugano – Lucerne

With the Gotthard Panorama Express you will travel from the Mediterranean south to the traditional heart of Switzerland.
