RECREATIONAL CUM
COGNITIVE ACTIVITIES
JUMBLE WORDS- To increase the childrens
understanding of word formation using the
vocabulary taught in previous week. The aim wasto move their minds around word logic.
CROSSWORD PUZZLE- To agitate & enhance
their cognitive ability to solve puzzle & grasp
word power. The activity was well enjoyed by
children.

VOCABULARY BUILD-UP- To retain theinterest of children in this slightly education
oriented activity, the names of cereals they eat
& grow in their fields were taught to them.

CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
PUPPETRY- Puppets are very traditional & thiswas a new activity for them. They make Stick
Puppets & conducted Puppet show.
GREETING CARDS- They were taught to make
greeting cards through paper strip spirals. They allmake beautiful greeting cards. Some showed
creativity & made their own designs.

DEVELOPMENT
EXPRESSIONS- Simple sentences about the
daily life and self-expression were taught along
with reinforcement of the previous work.
LEARNING NAMES- Efforts were made
through the activity to let all children know and
write their names.

STORY TELLING- To help children to
understand English using books from LBCT
Library. Morals were also taught through the
stories.
ROLE PLAY- To give negotiating skills to the
children so that they can bargain for themselves
and arrive at right decisions.

SELF-AWARENESS
A TALK ON CULTURE MARRIAGE- Tomake the learning process reciprocating and let thechildren contribute, a talk about the culture andcustoms was organized. The childrenenthusiastically reveal their customs.
SELF ASSESSMENT
- An assessment was doneby the children about the strengths and learninggained from the camp. It was done throughdiscussion.

PHYSICALACTIVITIES
YOGA- To let the children gain mental peace andfitness. Exercise to increase their attention spanwas included in it to make them aware of it and toenhance it to improve their academic performance
GAMES & SPORTS- As an important
component, games were conducted amongchildren to make them active through physicalactivity.

CONCLUSION
The activities selected for the camp were
interesting as well as easy to do thus retaining the
enthusiasm in children. An appropriate blend ofall the necessary components was used to meet the
objectives of the camp.
