USAGE OF LABORATORY Research work and Consultancy
Structural engineering laboratory has three bays for large scale structural testing, a casting
yard, and facilities for fabrication of specimens. The first bay has a structural testing strong
floor with loading frame capacity of 2000 kN. There are testing machines with capacities
up to 2000 kN in compression and flexural testing. The second bay has servo controlled
digital shake table, equipment’s for testing vibrations in beams and digital servo controlled
universal testing machine with 1000 kN capacity. Third bay consists of casting yard with
facilities for mixing, vibrating and curing. The department research and consultancy center
use the facility for research and extending the services to various government, semi
government and private agencies.
Project works
The students of both undergraduate and post graduate use the modern facility for their
project work and innovation.
