What teacher role do you identify with?

1. Professional – Well-read, willing to take learning risks, open

to classroom observation, lead learner.

2. Inexperienced – Enthusiastic. Unsure of the big picture

but will develop if nurtured by a professional teacher

3. Anxious – Needs to move forward in small steps to avoid

confusion

4. Academic – Fails to transfer knowledge to the real world.

Poor understanding of other people’s issues

5. Competent – Will move forward in steady steps once he/she

is convinced of the need. Often feel forgotten

6. Coping – Any new change needs to be accompanied by a

reduction in current work load.

7. Cynical – Has lost the love of teaching

8. Stressed – Operating on overload

9. Struggling – Major issues relating to classroom

management and student relationships
