The GCP is designed to: Prepare students for a global future
shaped with the attributes that will allow them to take advantage of the myriad of opportunities abroad, while remaining connected and emotionally rooted to Singapore.

• Meet at Changi Airport. Flight to Sabah
• Packing of overnight bag for the climb
• Overnight at hotel
Day 2: 26th May (Sunday)
• Kinabalu Park - ascent to mountain huts
• Rest & prepare for early morning climb next day

• Ascent to summit of Mt Kinabalu.
• Descent to Park HQ / Transfer to Hotel
• Students to experience & understand that it is the effort and
commitment devoted to a project that makes it rewarding.

• Kiulu River White Water Rafting

Trip Cost
Finalized cost includes:
• Return tickets on Air Asia • Accommodation • Food • Transport • Mt. Kinabalu climbing permit • Admission to places of interest (exclude visa costs, if any)
School Subsidy
SST will subsidise 50% of the trip cost or $600, whichever is lesser. ISB students (75-100%) will receive further subsidies. An individualized statement for payment will be given out

Safety Precautions
Insurance All students are covered by travel insurance which would include emergency evacua1on, medical treatments, loss of personal effects, etc. ISOS ISOS is the MOE contract agent for all overseas travel advice and consultancy. SST will have the support of ISOS in case of emergency while overseas.
Safety Measures/Precautions
• 5 per group
• Teachers / tour guides / student leaders at all times.
• Students’ food allergies have been noted. No beef will be
served.
• Accommodation: Twin-sharing. Different genders on different
levels and are not allowed to be in the same room
• Hydration: Two bottles of water per day.
• First Aid Kit: Brought along for all outdoor activities.
• Medication: Personal medications (if any)
• Care of personal valuables and effects
• Personal safety (traffic, staying as a group, night curfew, interacting with people outside the group)
• Hygiene (consumption of food & drinks from roadside stalls)
• Personal hygiene (regular washing of hands, not rubbing eyes,
touching of animals/vegetation)
• Security (behaviour and appropriate conduct)

Rules and Expectations
• Students are ambassadors of Singapore and SST
• Be socially sensitive and aware.
• Observe all laws and regulations
• Follow teachers’ instructions at all times
• All students are required to sleep by 11pm or earlier to have enough
rest for the next day’s activities.
• Respect other visitors in the hotel.
Rules and Expectations
Disciplinary consequences for students who do not adhere to
school rules and instructions given during the trip.
Students who compromise their own safety and that of others will
be barred from participating in subsequent activities.
