• What can happen?
o Bombing (with an IED in a backpack)
o Shootings (with a concealed firearm)

• How likely?
o Bombings are almost always black swan
events
o Statistically, the likelihood is low
Bombings at college stadiums are not frequent
events
However, the high impact of such an event
makes it a serious risk

o Depends on the type of weapon used
o IEDs
Explosive, chemical, biological, radiological,
incendiary
o Firearms
Handgun, submachine gun, assault rifle, etc.

o Most attacks on sporting events like these
use explosive or incendiary bombs
o Backpack-sized explosive could contain the
equivalent of 20-50 lbs of TNT
o That would be potential deadly from 1700-
1850 ft away in a stadium scenario
