WiththissituationthecodeofpracticerevertstoBS8485-2015.Thesolution.Corden EPS attended a site meeting where the main contractor and the ground-worker wereadvisedthat4.5pointswouldneedtobeachievedtocomplywithBS8485-2015.Thiswouldbemadeupofventilation,membrane,installationandvalidation:
• CordenEPSTotalGasBarrier–testedtoISO15105:01tomeettherequirementsofBritishStandards.Installationbyexperiencedandqualifiedpersonnel–Water-LinesSolutionsLtd.Independentvalidation–2points.
• Minimum150mmclearvoidbelowbeam&blockfloor–2.5points.Water-Lines Solutions Ltd were awarded the contract to supply & install the gas protectionmeasuresinaccordancewithBS8485-2015andvalidationwascarriedoutinaccordancewithCIRIAC735.
