Our Easter traditionsEaster is the second most important Italian holiday after Christmas. Easter, the feast dedicated to the resurrection of Christ, is the celebration of the mystery that is at the very root of Christian Faith. Easter for Italians has the same importance of Thanksgiving for Americans.

Children paint hen eggs before Easter ; the Easter day particularly exciting tradition for children since they receive over-sized, hollow chocolate eggs with a surprise inside.

During the Easter lunch we eat lamb , artichokes and as a dessert the tipical cake called “ Colomba” .

On Easter Monday people usually do a picnic with friends on the grass or in a park.
