A Happy Holiday and New Year Greeting to You!
This year in particular, with all the ―weather‖ outside, it’s easy to stay inside and hunker down, but it’s so much more fun to get up, get out and down to the Community Center because there is so much more going on here than just cards and lunch. The Center can also be seen as a great clearing house of valuable information for anyone who needs help and guidance with a myriad of issues. There are discussions and sources of information on Medicare, taxes, computers, estate planning, pharma-cies and prescriptions, and much more. Then there are all the regular gatherings you can find on the calendar enclosed. We even offer a menu of the lunches now. The Special Events are always a hit and reservations fill up fast on these. Trips to Target Field, the National Weather Station, The Old Log Theater, The St. Paul Curling Club, etc. are great experiences. Join in! Speaking of joining in, if you haven’t been a member but you get this mailing, it would help us and yourself to join the Southshore Senior Partners. Your membership donation helps pay for this mailing and our programming. Memberships run from June to June. Discounts are available on some of our functions for members. Look for future ―Bring a Friend‖ plans for lunches and programs. Discounts will also be available for you for those and if you sponsor someone who becomes a new member. The SSSP and the Center have definitely ―weathered the storm‖ of a year or so ago and we’re here to stay. Nothing would please those of us who spend time keep-ing the ball rolling here than to have to deal with having over-flow interest levels. The price is right so ―Come on down‖! Bob Newman
Greetings From The President!
