History
• The women’s husband was allergic to dogs
• They bred a Labrador Retriever because they make excellent guide dogs with a Poodle because they don’t shed
• They were bred in Australia

• Wool curly is mostly from the poodle and doesn’t shed
• Fleece doesn’t shed

• Cream, chocolate, gold, silver, red, white, blond, caramel, brown, and black
SIZES
Three different sizes of Labradoodles• Regulars are 50 lbs to 65 lbs• Mediums are 30 lbs to 45 lbs• Miniatures are less than 25 lbs
Health
Poisons• Chocolate• Raw bones• Cat food• Grapes• Milk
Hip Dysplasia• It is not the best idea to
have your puppy climb stairs or jump in the air
• They can get hip dysplasia, a genetic defect, from doing so
• Hip dysplasia is where your dog walks funny
• Swimming can help prevent it
Ups and
• Like being with people• Easy to train • Don’t shed• Smart
Downs
• Expensive• May have hip problems• Require hair cuts• Ear hair removal or else
they get ear infections
Australian Labradoodles• An F6 or greater is considered an
Australian Labradoodle• F6 means 6th generation
Labradoodle• F6 can have worse hip problems
