intimidating residents often using

The cost of training is £4,250 + VAT to train 65 staff . This will
provide 4 x half day courses which will enable delegates to:
• Be able to identify different levels or grades of cleanliness for
graffiti, fly-posting, fly-tipping and litter
• Be able to carry out a survey that identifies current levels of
quality in the community
• Be introduced to individual, social, economic and environmental
issues that have an impact on local environmental quality and
how they relate to the way services are provided
• Be introduced to factors that are needed to develop a local
environmental quality strategy, including monitoring, education
and enforcement, community engagement and partnership
working.

Election of Local Housing Board Members
We have changed the way tenant
representatives are nominated to the
Local Housing Boards
• Tenant representatives will no longer be nominated from
Housing Focus Groups
• This year, any tenant living in the South West area
(Austin, Littleover and Stockbrook Street) will be able to
apply to become a Local Housing Board representative

• There are 3 places available and elections will be held
during the Summer
• Further details will be published in the next edition of
Derby Homes News and in in May all tenants in the
South West will be sent details.
