TheSolidFlow2.0sensorusesthelatestmicrowavetech-nology.Thesensorisusedexclusivelyinmetalpipelines.Thespecialintegrationofmicrowavetechnologycreatesthemeasurementfieldtogetherwiththemetalpipeline.Themicrowaveradiationinthepipelineisreflectedbythesolidparticlesandreceivedbythesensor.Thefrequencyandamplitudeofthereceivedsignalsareanalysed.Thesensorworkslikeaparticlecounter,countingthequantityofflowingparticlesperunitoftime.Thefrequen-cy-selectedevaluationsystemensuresthatonlyflowingparticlesaremeasuredwhiledepositsaresuppressed.SolidFlow2.0featuresactivestratificationcompensationwhichcompensatesmeasurementerrorscausedbystrati-fication,inparticularwhilematerialsarebeingpneumati-callyconveyed.Basedonnewprocessingtechnology,themeasurementsignalisconvertedintoitsfrequencyspectrumwhichisusedtodetectthematerial'sflowpattern.Thesensoriscalibratedduringinstallationbyenteringthereferencequantityandpressingabutton.Theillustrationsshowtwofrequencyspectrafordifferentflowconditionswithsimilarmassflows.Asoftwarealgo-rithmensuresthatthemeasuringresultiscorrectevenwithdifferentflowconditions.
