Tongue & Groove or Click?
Click Lock systems were initially popularized with laminate flooring systems. their big sell was that they reduced the cost and increased the simplicity of an installation. a number of designs have been patented, but the most common tend to be uniClick. When engineered flooring started to become popular, the obvious choice for installation was to use a click lock system.
Click locking systems is hardlyavailable on solid wood flooring. Fair Floor brings you the advantages of an official unilin L2C click system also on our solid oak floor.
tongue & Groove has been the accepted standard in solid wood flooring for many years. this system requires more skills for installation, but does add some flexibility to the installation options.

instead of forming a plastic film like lacquering does, Fair Floor oiling is a modern way of finishing which leaves the pores open allowing the wood
to “breathe” and retain its elasticity. it also penetrates the wood deeper than lacquer and makes it moisture resistant.
Fair Floor is finished with natural oil with long term protection. together with perfect protection of surface you get also the feeling
of real wood every time you touch it.
Besides that, most of the damages can be repaired easily with some wax or maintenance oil without the need to sand the whole floor.
the appearance of the finished wooden floor is satin-mat with the advantage of making the floor look warmer and deeper in color over the years.
Choose the right color and enjoy the natural beauty of real wood together with trendy colors. Hardwax
oils will make your interior warm and trendy.

Brushing, especially after oiling, enhancesthe beautiful texture of oak and underlines the wooden look of the floor. it also protects the surface better and makes it more resistant, as scratches and marks don’t show up as much as on a smooth finishing.
Oak being oak, there will be a variance in the depth of texture, depending on the grain of each board. Some boards may be quite smooth with not much texture but others may be quite ‘rough’ where more of the softer fibers of the face have been brushed out.
The Brushed & Oiled finish is achieved by ‘brushing’ the face of the planks during production to remove the slightly softer parts of the oak surface.
Having the modern oiling line, the floor can be treated by 2 or more layers of oils. However 1-layer oiling gives the floor sufficient protection, multilayer oiling can bring more intensive colours to the floor. Together with brushing
we can achieve also special effects when combining more colours on surface.
Our wide possibilities allow us to bring our customers a custom made finishing. This is warmly welcomed especially by architects who can
have all the possible finishing for their big projects.

PeFCPEFC - what is it?
TheProgrammefortheEndorsementofForestCertification(PEFC) is an international non-profit, nongovernmental organization dedicated topromotingSustainableForestManagement(SFM)throughindependentthird-party certification. PeFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. thanks to its eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests.
FSC vs. PEFC
FSC and PeFC are two systems considered as equal for forest certification. usually PeFC is more common in european countries and FSC in rest of the world. PeFC not only focuses on the application of social standards for people working in forestry, but also in the timber processing industry (woodandpaperindustry).

Oak
the grooves in a micro-beveled floor protect your floor from possible dirt and dust and as a result your floor is less likely to be scratched or damaged.
Maintenance
the floor should be vacuumed regularly and occasionally cleaned using a soft-dampened brush or cloth bristles.
Easy to repair
Superficial scratches can be removed by sanding the affected area and applying the repair oil. Soft scratches can be repaired easily by refresh oils
Underfloor heating
Solid oak floor can be combined very well with floor heating when keeping in mind specific instructions for installation of floor heating together with solid flooring. General rule says that the water in the system of floor heating must be limited to maximum 45 °C where increasing or lowering of the floor heating temperature must be always gradual. it is also important that the relative humidity in the space where the floor is being installed needs to be between 50 and 65%.
