Mr.Kramasamy grand father was a agriculturalist.
His telegraphic address during that time was roots.
When Ramasamy started business he used the same name.

Products has less movements in during that period due to high price (50 to 60 % high) compared to competitors
In 1978 they introduced air horn using solenoid it was unique and made a break through. Due to this they flourished by 1979.
This was a major break through during globalisation (1991 & 1992) they expanded to Foreign markets even there was a threat

During 1994 bosh and roots came to an agreement. By that root is manufacturing the horns for bosh.
In that time also the roots are having higher price. They reduced it with proper R&D. now the roots is manufacturing the entire products for bosh, M&M ,Bajaj, Suzuki etc
Maximum waste and scrap are reused.
