• Designed to facilitate selection of the Designated Supports and Accommodations that match student access needs for the Smarter Balanced assessments, as supported by the Smarter Balanced Usability, Accessibility, and Accommodations Guidelines.
• The ISAAP Tool should be used in conjunction with the Smarter Balanced Usability, Accessibility and Accommodations Guidelines and state regulations and policies related to assessment accessibility as a part of the ISAAP process.

Can be used to create an “Individual Student Assessment Accessibility Profile (ISAAP)” for all students (including IDEA-Eligible, 504, and ELL students) which lists the appropriate Universal Tools, Designated Supports, and Accommodations used for the Smarter Balanced Assessments
Important benefit of this optional tool is that a student’s information can be uploaded into the TIDE system; this process can be a significant time saver for staff members who need to compile this information for each student and the test coordinator who is the only person who can enter it into TIDE
