SilkFX™ retains heat at a rate of 75%, Goose Down 60% and Microfiber (polyester) 11%, making SilkFX™ the better insulator.

When comparing SilkFX™ to Goose Down a 29.67% better heat retention is observed, and to Microfiber (polyester) it’s a large 581.94%.

Same Heat/Cool Rhythm as the Sleeping Body

SilkFX™ fibres absorbs and stores heat 25% faster than Goose Down and 178% faster than Microfiber (polyester) with cooling properties of SilkFX™ being 50.88% greater than those of Goose Down and 66.86% when compared with Microfiber (polyester).

SilkFX™ releases 7.52% heat every 15 min. and takes 4.5 hours to cool down. In contrast Goose Down release 11.35% of heat every 15 min. and cools down in only 2.75 hour. Microfiber (polyester) releases heat the fastest.

MACHINE WASHABLE

Washable with All Silk Properties Retained First, high quality silk fibres are cleaned down to pure Fibroin. Next, the Fibroin is treated with natural silk protein and finalized using a special technique to make the fibres resistant to washing.

Any normal silk, Mulberry or Tussah, cannot be washed without taking damage.

Although there is a false belief amongst many retail professionals that quilting silk fibres makes them washable. This is not true and will only last 1-2 washes before the fibres displace and become stiff.

MOISTURE CONTROL

Microscopic Fibrils Act as a Natural Sponge

SilkFX™ fibres show 35.90% higher moisture absorbance than Goose Down and a massive 6209.52% higher absorbance rate than Microfiber (polyester), which has virtually zero absorbance.

In effect Goose Down absorbs 26.42% less moisture than SilkFX™ and Microfiber (polyester) being the least absorbent with 98.42% less than SilkFX™.
