The Extron RAC 104 is a four channel remote volume and tonecontroller. It provides four channels for controlling volume, bass, andtreble when placed between a switcher and an audio amplifier. TheRAC 104 can be configured for a variety of applications to controlmono and stereo audio distribution in such environments as smallclassrooms and meeting rooms.
The RAC 104 offers simple, intuitive operation and features twochannel selection buttons (two channels per button) withcorresponding LED indicators. It provides direct access to volume, bassand treble adjustments using a front panel adjustment knob. All inputsand outputs of the RAC 104 are on captive screw connectors forbalanced and unbalanced line level audio signals, facilitatingintegration-friendly installation. Part of the VersaTools™ line of small,integrator friendly products, the RAC 104 is housed in a 1U, quarterrack width metal enclosure, and is rack-, under-desk-, and/or through-desk-mountable.
n RS-232 control – A rear panel, captive screw port provides RS-232 connectivity of the RAC 104 to remotely control volume,bass, and treble adjustments.
n Stereo or mono audio systems – The RAC 104 offers the flexibilityto control two stereo or four mono audio channels in a system.
n Smooth volume control – Adjustments are made in 0.5 dBincrements, ensuring smooth transitions when changing volumelevels.
n Three presets per channel – Input gain/attenuation audio levels plusvolume, bass, and treble can be saved on three presets per channel.As presets, these settings can be quickly recalled and deployed duringpresentations.
n Compatible with any audio amplifier – For small balanced andunbalanced audio system integration, the RAC 104 includes volumecontrol for most audio equipment.
n Professional and consumer audio I/O levels (DIP switch-selectable) – Compatibility with both professional (+4dBu) andconsumer (-10dBV) level audio enables the RAC 104 to mix andmatch many types of audio peripherals.
n Flexible mounting options – The RAC 104 is housed in a 1U,quarter rack width metal enclosure and can be mounted under orthrough a desk or in a rack.
n External international power supply – The included autoswitchableexternal power supply provides worldwide power compatibility.
