Shrimp, Collards & Grits Magazine is a unique presentation of the
old south, capturing the power of place, style, character and enchantment
of southern culture. SCG Magazine is the only magazine to go from the
rugged shrimp docks or distant oyster banks to refined
tablescape vistas overlooking majestic settings.
The words "Shrimp" (the sea) "Collards" (southern lifestyle) & Grits
(the farms) embody the essence of the southern culture, exploring the rich
history, food, art, folklore and people. In the words of the late Ray Ellis
(Southern Artist), "Shrimp, Collards & Grits" is strictly southern.

love our Shrimp, Collards and Grits Lifestyle Book Series.
SCG Magazine's targeted demographic is the upper income women decision makers in the 30 year old and greater range. However, our
magazine crosses all demographics and gender boundaries.
As of June 2017, readership has exceeded original estimates of
(25,000) as we have quickly transitioned to Newsstand Sales with
our second issue. SCG Magazine will have a projected readership after
the inaugural first four issues of 75,000 by year end. This is largely
due to our magazine's paid distribution path and value to the customer.

The magazine is being marketed to the major national chain bookstores,
supermarket and drugstore chains, to high-retail chains such as Walmart,
Sams Clubs, Costco, Target, and to independent bookstores and newsstands.
Solicitations are being made to supermarket chains such as Giant, The Fresh
Market, Whole Foods Market, Harveys, etc. We are currently distributed in
Publix, Kroger, Winn-Dixie, BI-LO, Harris Teeter, Piggly Wiggly, Barnes &
Noble and Books-A-Million throughout the Southeastern United States.
Solicitations are also being sent to buyers for drugstore chains such as
Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, etc. Many of the
supermarket chains have pharmacies in stores (as do Walmart, Costco, Target,
others). Buyers for those chains are being solicited for both magazine
mainlines in the stores and in the pharmacies.
We expect response to these solicitations and newstand sales to be strong
and grow over time. We will concentrate our newstand efforts in a market
area along the coastline from (St. Simons, GA to Georgetown, SC). The
magazine can be found as far as Charlotte, Atlanta and Jacksonville.

1. The forwarding of an order is construed as an acceptance of all the rates and conditions at the time sold and is a binding agreement.
2. The Publisher has final approval on placement, size, and format on all ads supplied to SCG Magazine from any source.
3. All advertising space rates are based on receipt of exact size digital file.
4. The Publisher will not be responsible for the production of ad materials that are not supplied as exact size digital file. Ad Design is available at $65 per hour.
5. Positioning of advertisements is at the sole discretion of the Publisher.
6. All contents of advertisements are subject to Publisher’s approval. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement or insertion order at any time.
7. No contract changes for advertising space within 60 days of the ad close date.
8. All advertisements are accepted and published by the Publisher on the representation that the Advertiser and/or Advertising Agency are properly authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof.
9. The Publisher assumes no liability if for any reason it becomes necessary to omit an advertisement.
10. Client must give 30 days written notice prior to the ad close date for the issue(s) they wish to cancel. Advertisers that choose to cancel their contract will be responsible for paying 50% of the contracted total of all remaining ads to be canceled.
11. In the event that collection is necessary or an action is filed to collect any amount owed under this Agreement, the Publisher is entitled to recover from the Advertiser its reasonable attorney’s fees and all other costs incurred.
12. Disputes of any kind which seek legal action will be resolved in a court of law in Beaufort County, South Carolina.
13. Ad design approval, sign off, or written, email or verbal acknowledgment of acceptance of an ad proof by an advertiser, it’s agent(s), or representative(s) is hereby deemed as acceptance and confirmation of proof of performance of an ad being designed and agreed to, as well as having run in SCG Magazine.
14. Payment for first ad placement will be processed at completion of contract. If applicable additional ad placements will be charged 30 days prior to "Ad Close" date for each issue.
