Kiva A non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world. ILSC specifi-cally donates to help students get an education. www.kiva.org
World Bicycle Relief Simple, sustainable bicycle transportation multi-plies an individual's efficiency. Compared to walk-ing, bikes improve access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity. They increase carrying capacity and accessible travel distance while de-creasing the time it takes to commute to schools, clinics and markets. www.worldbicyclerelief.org
Learn to Earn ILSC’s in house charity that provides funding to educate women in India who have no access to education. [email protected]
One Drop A non-profit organisation initiated by Cirque du Soleil Founder Guy Laliberté—strives to ensure that clean wa-ter is accessible to all, today & forever www.onedrop.org
Donations When an activity is “by donation’, the money you pay will go directly to one of the charities we support (see Charities). For Hikes we recommend a minimum of $1 and for Yoga we suggest $2 or more. Donations so far this year have purchased 10 bicycles for children in Africa through World Bicycle Relief.
Refunds Are only given in the case of an emergency where the student can show proof of a doctors visit or a plane ticket to leave the country. Full refunds may still not be possible. In the event of an Activity Cancellation you must bring your receipt back to the Activities Department to get your refund.
Receipts Please keep the receipt we gave you as proof of your payment. It also tells you the meeting time and location and what to bring on the activity. It is required in the event an activity is refunded.
Event tickets Odd numbers or large groups of tickets not purchased together, will usually not be able to sit together. Please ask before you buy tickets if you have a special request,. We will do our best to try and seat you and your friends together.
