•Physical | Developing power and speed in these individual physical practices.
•Technical | Improve quick feet and jumping technique together with finishing.
•Psychological | Maintain focus with repetitive practice and a growth mindset to recognise how they can improve in each exercise.
This practice combines physical elements for players
together with finishing. Each player must jump over
each hurdle, before turning to perform quick diagonal
shuttles, progressing to straight line accelerations and
decelerations. Finally each player will finish from a
pass from the coach before joining the queue again

This practice is practice 2 of Theme 29 and is
focused on passing combinations between 5 players
who are social distancing. We initially develop the
central player to combine on 2 touches, and playing
off 2 balls with quick combinations. We progress this
with various progressions to enhance difficulty for
players as practice progresses.

2. Touch to get ball out of your feet comfortably

4. Well weighted passes to allow finishing on one
touch
This finishing practice develops this technique
unopposed, movement for through balls and overload
and balanced opposed situations in a single exercise.
A single attacker begins by making a straight run onto
a diagonal pass to finish, with the passer becoming
the finisher, continuing the practice cycle. See all
