• Founded in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó
• Don Facundo revolutionized the spirits industry and created the first light-bodied spirit –
what the world knows as rum today
• In 1960, revolutionary government forces illegally confiscated company assets in Cuba
• After leaving Cuba, Bacardi regrouped to become the largest privately held spirits
company in the world

SAP MDG (Master Data Governance ) is implemented as the Bacardi solution for Master Data Management. It is a process centric application that
provides centralized governance for selected master data domains like customer, vendor and material. We use it to centrally govern master data
based on a collaborative workflow process that seamlessly integrates business rules and subject matter domain expertise in order to achieve
consistent and accurate master data.
