TheseoptionsarefoundinUnifierundereithertheuDesignerBPdesignorundertheConfigurationBPSetup.ThistippresumesthatyouhavealreadydesignedyourBP,sowewillfocusonlyontheseoptions.ADDINGADDITIONALCONTENTTOEMAILBODYUnifierincludesbasicdataelements(likerecordnumber)inthebaseemail.Ifyouhavecustomdataelementsthattheuserneedstoidentifytheirrequiredactions,youcanaddthesetothedesign.

1. InuDesigner,openyourBPdesigninDraftmode2. Inupperforms,opentheViewFormfortheBP3. ClickonView,EmailNotificationElements4. InthewindowclicktheAdd/Deletebuttonstoaddorremovedataelementsandthenuse

theMoveup/downtochangetheirorder5. ClickApply,andthenOKtosave6. ClickSaveontheViewformscreen7. CompleteandDeployyourBPdesign

Oncethisisdeployed,thesenewelementswillprintinthebodyoftheemail,providingtheuserswithmoreusefulinformation.

CUSTOMIZING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS


INCLUDINGRECORDATTACHMENTSAlsousefulforusersistheoptiontoroute/includerecordattachmentswhenrequestingreviews,particularlyifyouareenablingtheactionbuttonstorespondviaemail.

1. OpentheBPSetup,WorkflowSetupinyourshellortemplate.

*Note:Typicalpracticeisyouwouldupdateyourtemplateandpushthesechangesouttoindividualshellsafterchanging.

2. SelectthesteptomodifyandlookfortheEmailNotificationsblock.3. Hereyoucanconfigurethefollowing:

a. Enableresponseviaemaili. ThiswilladdActionbuttonsintheemailallowingusertojustclickabuttoninthe

email.ii. Youcanhavestepsallowingactionsandotherswheretheymustlogintotakethe

action.

*Note:thesubsequentstepmustbesettoPreassignedinordertoenableactionbuttons.

b. IncludingAttachmentsi. Includebothrecordandlineitemattachments—automaticallysendsattachments

foruserreview.

*Note:iftheemailserverissettolimitattachmentsize,Unifierwilladdanoteatthebottomoftheemailstatingthatsomeattachmentswerenottransmittedsinceitwastoolarge.

c. Includingrecordinformationasattachmenti. Youcanincludethedefaultrecordattachment(transcriptofrecord)oryoucan

overrideandincludeoneofyourcustomprints.d. EmailContent

Utilizing theseoptions inUnifierwillprovideamoreusefulandproductiveexperience forUnifierusersreceivingemailnotifications.EachBPcanbecustomizedinthisfashion.Onecaveat is that theseareemailnotificationsandthechangesaffectbothactionemailsandCCemailsbutonlyatactualactionsteps. (SothesechangeswillnotbevisibleifyouCCauserwhengoingtotheENDstep,forexample.)
