President ’s Report
The Winter course offerings at the Tantramar Seniors’ College have gone well, and registrations and membership figures remain healthy. We offered 74 courses, had 313 registrants, with a total enrolment of 1031, and there are currently 452 members in the TSC. The Spring course offerings outlined elsewhere in this newsletter look very enticing. You should have a fine time sorting out how many and which courses you are going to be able to take.
Please make note of the registration dates for the various regions.
The Board of the Tantramar Seniors’ College would like to draw to members’ attention the retirement of Heather Patterson as coordinator at the end of April. Heather is our founder, and in recent years she has served as the highly valued coordinator of our increasingly complex operations. Heather will, of course, still be involved with the College, in various capacities, and will be available to help our new coordinator as she becomes acclimatized to the position over the next few months.
Recently, Heather and I, accompanied in one instance by Debbie Cooney from the Codiac Regional Committee, made presentations on the Tantramar Seniors’ College to the Moncton Wesleyan Seniors’ group and the CNR Retirees’ Association in Moncton. The discussion with members of each group was very productive and enjoyable. These presentations were intended to make the TSC and its activities and services more widely known. We are also developing a brochure on the TSC, to the same end.
Our meetings with members of the two Moncton-area groups also served to bring some new ideas to the TSC, in the way of suggestions for possible courses and resource persons for same. If members would like to suggest other such groups to which we might present, please, pass your suggestions along, either to me directly, or to Tracey Rose, our new coordinator.

Introducing Our New Coordinator
We are pleased to announce that Tracey Rose has been appointed TSC coordinator, effective April 1, 2016.
A native of England, Tracey moved to the Maritimes in August, 2014, after having lived in Alberta for over ten years. In the latter five and a half years she worked as a project coordinator at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Tracey now lives in Sackville, New Brunswick and runs a micro business (Soaperie) there. She is also involved in heritage restoration work and has in recent months been under contract with the Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network (ACORN).
Tracey is highly personable, organized, and experienced in the wide variety of tasks involved in the coordinator position. Please in-troduce yourselves to her as the occasion arises and as she acclimatizes herself to the position. She is looking forward to taking on this new challenge.
