drive systems. The screened cable
ensures that the radiated emissions
from the complete system meet the
requirements of EMC directive
89/336/EEC (amend 92/31/EEC), thus
ensuring operation of nearby radio,
telecommunication, medical equipment
and other devices are not affected. The
screen also offers immunity from other
electrical phenomena such as ESD,
fast transient bursts, radiating magnetic
fields etc. May also be used in
applications where mains cable must
