Second Acts is a non-profit, 501(c)(3)
charitable fundraising organization
that distributes 100% of ALL
donations received to small,
volunteer-run animal rescue groups
nationwide which adopt a no-kill
policy.
These dogs and cats are “rescued” from
local pounds and shelters before they are
scheduled to be euthanized. The cost to
spay/neuter (along with other veterinary
expenses) plus food and shelter until they
are adopted is very costly.
Here are some of the dogs and
cats that were rescued from the
generous donations of our
supporters, along with their
stories…

Jaspurr, a Siamese mix bobtailkitten, was rescued from a shelter by Furry Friends in Michigan. After a week or so in his foster home, it became apparent that something was not right. Following a visit to the vet, it was discovered that he had a birth defect that didn't allow him to urinate properly. Despite corrective surgery, the area closed again, necessitating further surgery that, in effect, changed parts of his anatomy to that of a female. Through all the surgeries, he had the best attitude and was loving and playful. Jaspurr has recently been adopted by someone in the veterinary field.
