Supply Chain Supervisor
01. Inventory Control
Level 1 : Awareness
LEVEL 1"I know": Awareness that stocks are held at local level. Awareness of the different types of inventory, the purpose of holding inventory, inventory control policies and inventory control methods. "I can": Administrative supporting under close supervision.
02. Supply Planning
Level 3 : Practitioner
LEVEL 3"I know": In-depth knowledge about the sales & operations planning (S&OP) - process, determining capacity requirements, identifying capacity constraints, technical capacity calculation, theoretical / actual capacity, the master scheduling process and the material requirements planning (MRP) process. Knows what makes S&OP effective and how to design an effective S&OP process to add value to the business. In-depth knowledge about using demand to allocate inventory to distribution centers. In-depth knowledge about strategic / operational planning, planning units of time, aggregate / detailed planning. Knows how to manage the transition to a new product, minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Knows how to balance supply with demand, assess supply plan risks, manage supply constraints and allocate limited supply."I can": Develop, propose and execute company supply planning strategies and actual supply plans. Oversee the execution of partial disciplines within supply planning.
03. Demand Planning
Level 2 : Understanding
LEVEL 2"I know": Familiar with how performance is measured and tracked in different supply chain areas. Knowledge about time series and other forecasting methods, mean percentage error, spot- and rolling forecast accuracy and reducing forecast error."I can": Apply knowledge in terms of practical execution of pre-defined tasks within the demand planning process. Recognize where advice is required.
04. TransportationLevel 2 : Understanding
LEVEL 2Familiar with transportation modes, types of transportation carriers, multimodal and intermodal transportation, freight containers and packaging. Familiar with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th party logistics providers and types of 3PL providers. Knowledge about and ability to apply the 2010 Incoterms. Familiar with the function and different types of bills of lading, as well as other domestic transportation documents. Knows European / North American international bills of lading and waybills, invoices, certifications, declarations, letters of credit. Knows how to measure performance in different supply chain areas and how performance is tracked.Obtains, collates and evaluates data on the progress of supplies being transported, is highlighting problems and offering solutions. Schedules transportation of supplies.
05. Order Management
Level 3 : Practitioner
LEVEL 3In-depth knowledge of the order to cash cycle, order management for make-to-stock products and order management for make-to-order products. In-depth knowledge of the types of reverse logistics operations and how to plan for customer returns and electronic waste disposal. Experienced with the steps in order processing and how to do an availability check. In-depth knowledge of the steps in logistics scheduling. Experienced with ensuring perfect orders. Familiar with warranty processing and legal issues in warranty claims.Develops, proposes and executes company order management strategies. Oversees the execution of partial disciplines within order management.
