Thomas Gremillion, ‘01, is Director of Food
Policy with the Consumer Federation of
America in Washington, DC. He oversees the
research, analysis, advocacy and media
outreach for the CFA’s food policy
activities. He graduated from Harvard Law
School in 2007 and also obtained a Master of
Arts in International Studies from the La
Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar in 2004.
At Carolina he majored in Mathematics and
was a member of the South Carolina Honors

Campbell Powers ‘14
Campbell is an Associate Manager, Inbound Sales with Lanyon in Dallas. His company created the industry's leading cloud-based software for managing corporate meetings, events and travel programs. Campbell completed his B.A. in Economics from the Darla Moore School of Business. At Carolina he was a member of the Capstone Scholars Program and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He attended Highland Park High School. In the summer of 2011 he was the Recreation Coordinator at the Fripp Island Resort. Reach out to Campbell at email [email protected].

An SAE is now president of IFC (Fraternity
Council) at Carolina. Joe has succeeded to that
position due to the unfortunate closing of the Sigma Chi Chapter, and
the resignation of the current president and
member of that fraternity. Congratulations to Joe, who will serve out the
rest of the term through December 2016. He can

The chapter wrapped up the week of April 11 of their Paddy Murphy events with the 2016 David Simo-ne Softball Classic. The game was against the Lexington County Sherriff's Department. The funds raised goes toward David’s medical bills.

In Memoriam—JP Gamble ‘51
Julius Pendergrass (J.P.) Gamble, Sr., 87, of Lane, SC died
peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 after a brief illness. He was
born on April 11, 1928, to Samuel Wayne and Theresa Register Gamble
in the Gourdin community near Lane, SC. He was educated in Greeley-
ville schools and graduated from the University of South Carolina with
a degree in business administration in 1950. At USC, he was a member
of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was an avid Gamecocks fan
throughout his life, and enjoyed attending their football games and flying to their bowl
games. After college, he returned to the Gourdin area to join his father on the family
farm. In addition to farming, he would later work for the US Department of Agriculture
and in the Williamsburg County Economic Development Office as Economic Develop-
ment Director and Grants Administrator. He married Eunice Temple Ford of Holly Hill,
SC on July 18, 1952, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage together this summer.
