Essay scoring will consist of three scores:

Longitudinal Progress Monitoring
▶ Section Scores will be placed on a vertical scale.
▶ This same concept will hold true for the Test and Cross-Test Scoresas well as Total Score.
+ The College Board and Khan Academy have partnered to provide online SAT® test preparation programs and resources entirely free of charge.
+ Beginning in June 2015, Khan Academy will release an interactive and personalized practice program for the redesigned SAT

▶ In Spring 2016:▶ all 9th Graders across Michigan will take the PSAT – 9▶ all 10th Graders will take the PSAT – 10▶ all 11th graders will take the SAT with Essay.
▶ Reduced Testing Time!!!▶ “High school students will no longer have to take a state-developed exam in English language arts and math. In the spring, 11th-graders took the ACT exam in March, then took additional state-developed exams in April. The state says this will reduce testing time in the 11th grade by up to eight hours”.
