Sant Jordi

Long ago in the village of Montblanc, in some wetlands that w

ere near the village, there was a terrible dragon. His hunger never

ended, and ate all the people and animals. The knights who had

tried had failed to kill the dragon and the dragon had 

eaten them.

Every time the dragon was more hungry. One day  the king decided to make a deal with the people.

The King made  a lottery getting into a pot all

 the names of the citizens to give a victim a week for the dragon. 

A unlucky day it was the King’s daughter’s turn and sent her to the dragon's cave.

But then came a knight in armor with a silver to

p and a white horse . The knight fought 

fiercely against the dragon but in the end St. Jordi stick the

spear to the dragon’s heart. The dragon died...

From the dragon's blood came out a rose that Saint George

gave to the princess. The princess and the king told

him that if he wanted to stay in his village but he said no, he had to follow his

journey and St George left.

In our school we went to a theatre to listen to poems read by students who wanted too also we sang songs,

the activities were optional.We gave awards to the best poems

and stories.
