To receive an overall rating of Exemplary, campuses must complete all requirements for History of Compliance by the indicated deadline.
Campuses that wish to receive an overall rating of Recognized or Exemplary will also submit to each department a one-page document with pictures demonstrating some of the completed Recognized or Exemplary requirements. (See sample page at the end of this document.)
Like last year, all documentation will be kept at the campus. Campuses will be required to submit to each department a signed campus report indicating the completion date of checked criteria and the availability of documentation upon request. (See sample campus report at the end of this document.)

Reporting templates, checklists, an FAQ, and other resources will be posted on the Administration and Leadership website (http://www.saisd.net/dept/adminleadership/ ) under the HB 5 Community and Student Engagement tab. For questions regarding the rating criteria, please contact the appropriate department. For questions regarding the overall rating calculations, please contact David Goree at 554-2273.
How will the overall ratings be calculated?
For each of the eight areas, three points are available: • Exemplary 3 • Recognized 2 • Acceptable 1 • Unacceptable 0
If a campus has completed all compliance metrics in each of the eight rating categories and has received a "YES" in the History of Compliance category, the following averages will yield the indicated overall ratings:
• Exemplary: 2.5 to 3.0 • Recognized: 1.5 to 2.49 • Acceptable: 0.5 to 1.49 • Unacceptable: 0.0 to 0.49
Areas that are determined to be not applicable (N/A) for a particular campus are not averaged in the overall calculations.
If a campus has not completed all compliance metrics, the highest rating possible is Unacceptable.
If a campus has not completed History of Compliance by the November 6, 2015 deadline, the highest possible rating is Recognized.
