Norway – Shortsea
September 2018 – Nor Lines Trade Update
As from October 1, 2018 Nor Lines (Samskip) will operate 3 trade lanes to/from Norway
Rotterdam / Velsen to/from Hammerfest (operated by 2 x LNG multipurpose/roro vessels)
The service is operated by 2 x LNG multipurpose vessels, named Kvitbjørn and Kvitnos, sailing in a 14 days loop roundtrip connecting North-Norway with the European North-West Continent; offering a weekly liner service along the Norwegian coast, covering fixed calls in Tananger, Bergen, Ålesund, Trondheim, Bodø, Tromsø and Hammerfest. Inducement calls and/or project shipments outside of the set schedule is possible upon request.
Baltic Sea to/from Tromsø (operated by 2 x sideport/reefer vessels)
The service will be operated by 2 x sideport/reefer vessels with weekly sailing northbound and southbound connecting Baltics, Poland and Denmark with the Norwegian coast via Fredrikstadnorthbound to Tromsø. The vessels will call designated ports on a weekly basis northbound for dry cargo / pallet cargo, whilst prioritizing frozen cargo and larger projects southbound.
North-West Europe – North Norway / Murmansk (operated by 2 x sideport/reefer vessels)
The service will be operated by 2 x sideport/reefer vessels with frequent calls in North Norway and Murmansk area. Focus area will be large quantity pallet shipments and projects northbound, and frozen fish in combination with projects southbound. The aim is a flexible service, where cargo availability controls the port combinations.
