Saint Mary Feast September 10, 2017
Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church 40 Spring Mount Road Schwenksville, PA 19473
610-287-8156 www.churchofsaintmary.org
O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and
Redeemer.
Celebrating 91 Years!
2-004
Dear Parish Family, A WARM WELCOME TO ALL OF OUR PARISHIONERS AND ALL WHO ARE VISITING WITH US TODAY! Please know we are very happy you have decided to worship with us today. You are most welcomed and loved at this special place! If you need any type of service or ministry please do not hesitate to call me or any member of our staff. We are most happy to serve you!
HAPPY FEAST DAY: A most happy and blessed Feast Day to you our faith-filled parishioners, friends and visitors. Please join us in giving praise and thanks to Almighty God through the intercession of His dear Mother at our Noon Mass this weekend. Please join us after Mass as we continue to celebrate with Food,
Drink, Music, Games and Fun on our beautiful campus! The 2017 Annual Feast Day pays honor and respect to Our Lady of Fatima. This year we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Mary's apparition to the 3 shepherd children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco at Fatima (1917-2017). Let us petition Our Lady to bless the people of Texas and Louisiana with much hope. May we support them through our prayers, our time, talent and treasure so that our Texan and Louisianan brothers and sisters can rebuild their lives after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
HURRICANE HARVEY: There will be a SECOND COLLECTION taken for our brothers and sisters effected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. This collection will be taken the weekend on September 16-17. I kindly
ask you to be as generous as possible. FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR OUR CHURCH: We have ascertained the services of O & S Engineers from Blue Bell, PA to present us with an extensive report of what is wrong with the structure and/or the Roof of our Church that has
been giving us problems for the past 33 years. O & S Engineers have shared this report through a PowerPoint presentation to our Pastoral and Finance Councils. Both councils have asked excellent questions to O & S. Going forward we need to apply for a Project Number and Permission to proceed with this project from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. After we ascertain a Capital Campaign Company to assist us in fundraising we will meet with you our parishioners, friends and visitors in our Parish Hall. O & S Engineers will conduct a Town Meeting and present their findings and explain how they plan to proceed. Besides the ROOF/STRUCTURE/EXTERIOR LIMESTONE there will be other areas of restoration within the church. Please keep this project in your prayers as we proceed in following the necessary steps.
GIFT CARDS (SCRIP): Please order your GIFT CARDS on line! If you do not have a computer please call the Parish Office Center and we will do the work for you.
After you ORDER ON LINE or CALL US you may PICK UP AND PAY at any of these 3 locations: SCRIP ROOM IN CHURCH, PARISH OFFICE CENTER or SCHOOL. Go to our Parish Web Site and follow the simple prompts. You will be receiving a Cash REBATE for using our GIFT CARDS. In other words, you will be making money!
FOUNDING DAY: On September 15 we will celebrate our Founding Day (1926-2017). At the morning Mass we will remember and give praise to God through the intercession of Our Lady for the 91 years we were canonically erected as a Parish of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Happy 91st Birthday,
everyone! 9 more years until we celebrate our 100th Anniversary. Do not worry, we have already started planning for the celebration.
2018 MASS BOOK: The Saint Mary Parish 2018 Mass Book will officially open on Saturday, September 16 after the 9AM Mass in our Parish Hall. Please fill out the FEATURE PAGE (last page) in this week’s bulletin and bring it to the Parish Hall next Saturday, September 16.
Have a nice week, everyone!

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts
by Stephen J. Binz The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, dwells among
us and showers us with spiritual gifts. Here
Stephen Binz has chosen key biblical texts to help readers
discover how to rekindle the fire of the Holy Spirit and
allow God's Spirit to manifest these divine graces and
spiritual gifts more richly within them. He shows how the
same Spirit who inspired the prophets and evangelists and
who filled the life of Jesus now blows within and among
all God's people. Please consider joining us for this
8-week study. Two sessions will be offered on Thursdays
from 10-11:30 A.M. or 7-8:30 P.M. beginning September
28, 2017. Please contact Linda Nichols at 215-256-4941
