We had a very successful YEX weekend in NYC led by Chris Chale and Gale Wolfe. Our exchange students enjoyed a trip to Albany Friday, New York City Saturday (including a stop at the Brooklyn Bridge and seeing the show "School of Rock”) and a delicious brunch with Rotarians on Sunday.
Speaking of YEX students, last year's incoming student, Garnn from Thailand, will be visiting in Red Hook for several weeks this Summer. We look forward to welcoming her back!
We our our business meeting today with emphasis on Apple Blossom Day which is Saturday, May 7th. We need all hands on deck! Be sure to see Dave Wright and let him know when you can be there.
Members we missed and hope to see next week: Walter Avis, Rev. Fred Cartier, Rob Latimer, Betsy Levy and Karen Mead-Cadorette. Attendance 71%; Happy dollars $34.00; 50/50: Linda Greenblatt who donated her share to the Rotary Foundation (thank you Linda!)

Library donations - the Club Foundation will match, up to $500.00, members donations to the Red Hook Library Capital Campaign. Members should let Bud know how much they gave.
Post-Prom Party - we sent a check for $400.00 to the Red Hook High School post-prom party. Thank you to those members who generously contributed.
The District 7210 conference is quickly approaching. Club members are encouraged to attend since it will be just across the river in Kingston. See flier below.
School budget talk, May 3d - Our guest speakers will be Red Hook School Superintendent Paul Finch and club past-president Bruce Martin who will discuss this year's proposed Red Hook Central School Budget.

Books and magazines needed for the hospital. Rev. Fred Cartier is collecting books and magazines for Northern Dutchess Hospital's reading cart. Please bring your magazines and books to Fred at any breakfast meeting. Labels have been made to affix to the magazines indicating they have been donated by the
Red Hook Rotary Club.
