Used as a communication tool
ROSATTE webinar, 16 Dec 2010
A fast lane roadmap for the:Early adopters
Work with early versions of standards and definitions

The ROSATTE Forum
ROSATTE webinar, 16 Dec 2010
Why a forum?
Many great EU funded projects has had a slow uptake and
limited impact because of lack of resources to:
Implement and maintain
Disseminate and educate
Align with the current maturity situations among the receiving stakeholders

ROSATTE webinar, 16 Dec 2010
The results from the surveys shows good intention…
We have the law in place – INSPIRE and ITS Directive
Standards will eventually be developed
In spite of this:
Implementation might still not be harmonised and cross-border compliant
It is hard to add new safety or road data/attributes for other purposes (climate, mobility, freight, inter-modality) on an European level
All (kinds of) service providers should be accommodated
There is not enough funding to do it all in parallel
Summing up
ROSATTE webinar, 16 Dec 2010
It is easy to see that there is still a lot to do…
It’s hard to see how the results of ROSATTE can take hold
without a systematic effort along these lines:
Let’s keep the larger ROSATTE group of experts together
Let’s set up a service oriented partnership organisation:Give advise to newcomers
Maintain and develop the specifications and guidelines
Develop means that help all parties to comply with the ROSATTE and ITS Directive requirements
Help standardise road and traffic data
Summing up
