Roberto teaches to a crowd at the Saratoga Folk Dancers-Photos by Loui Tucker

Roberto Bagnoli teaches and dances through the Bay AreaRoberto Bagnoli came to the San Francisco Bay Area this past August and danced up a storm! He taught 12 dif-

ferent dances at 4 venues (Moveable Feet in Palo Alto, Kolo Koalition in Sacramento, Saratoga Folk Dancers inSaratoga, and Berkeley Folk Dancers in Berkeley) and attracted, according to all of the event planners, recordcrowds. Many dancers attended multiple workshops and were not disappointed because there were different dancestaught at the workshops.

"I really like the way Roberto teaches. It's not just 'Do this step, now do this step, now do this step. Okay, nowput on the music.' It's more like 'Let's put on the music and move to it and sightread some steps and patterns. Okay, now I'll show you how the dance works.' I really like moving to the music right away."

"He has the right personality and mix of dances for most of our international folk dancers.""Roberto has such a great ear for good music. I buy his CDs just to listen to them.""Wow, what a crowd we had tonight. Roberto is a really big draw!"
