While I am cooking noodles as snack of the Japanese staff, I slipped on the wet floorand my right hand accidentally grabbed the hot kettle. Luckily, I was wearing gloves;otherwise, my hand would have been burned.

Why did such incident/near -miss happened? Why did I not notice
the wet floor?
