Revere Alumni Association
July 2017 Volume 1, Issue 2
MESSAGE FROM RAA PRESIDENT
I would like to start by thanking John Jarrell (‘82) for his dedi-cation over the last eight years in running RAA’s website. He took over a virus infected website and built it back up from scratch while also maintaining updated class rosters.
The organization is looking to continue to evolve and we hope to have a full plan in place by the end of fall. Our biggest goal is to be more visible and of greater help to our alumni and as well as cur-rent Revere students (scholarship expansion, information, network-ing, reunion help, etc.).
The most important thing we need is your voice. We under-stand it is not always possible (because of time restrictions or your location) to be a volunteer with RAA, but we want you to be an ac-tive member and offer input. What can our organization do to better assist our alumni, further support our district, and assist new alumni as they leave RHS to pursue their career & life choices?

Emily’s Comments: My entire family went
graduated from Revere so I was really happy
about winning this scholarship. I hope by the
time I graduate from Ohio Northern, I would
have made an impact there as much as I did at
Revere. I cannot wait to come back and live in
the Revere community and help out as much as I
can. NOTE: Day after her mom’s passing, Emily Brock
scored a career high and the girl’s basketball team defeat-
ed St. V-M in a playoff game.—Cleveland Plain Dealer,

MESSAGE FROM THE REVERE SUPERINTENDENT Greetings!
I hope you all are enjoying the summer months. We have spent the summer closing out 2016-2017 and pre-
paring for 2017-2018. We all look forward to the students returning on August 22nd.
Throughout the summer, the district continued to meet with the architects and construction managers for the
new Revere High School and new Bath Elementary School. There are countless details involved in designing
these two new learning environments. Our plan is still to seeks bids for the projects soon after the new year,
with the hope of breaking ground in the Spring of 2018.
This year will kick off our second school year of being a 1:1 technology district. If you aren't familiar, stu-
dents in grades 7-12 each receive their own MacBook Air for use at school and at home. Students in all other
grades receive their own Chromebook or iPad for in-school use only. We are proud of the advances the dis-
trict has made in putting technology into the hands of each student to enhance his or her learning.
Finally, each fall, Revere High School hosts "Future's Day." We welcome guests into our school to talk about
their careers with small groups of students. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni to return to Revere and
share their career experiences. This year's event will take place on Wednesday, October 11. If you are inter-
ested in participating or learning more, please contact Brenda Moll at [email protected].
I hope to see some of you there. Until then, enjoy the rest of the summer!
Sincerely,
Matthew L. Montgomery
Superintendent
