‘Audrey is a principal that has demonstrated a great ability as an instructional leader. It is very evident
that her approach to decision making is one that is student centered. Her desire to build a safe and caring
school that is highly engaging for all students is evident in her actions. She has developed strong rapport
with the community and actively engages her school council, teachers and students in decisions in the
school. Her emphasis in looking for ways to engage all students whether that is through traditional
approaches or via technology is noticeable and greatly appreciated. Audrey is to be congratulated on her
efforts to provide a learning environment that is positive for all. Livingstone Range School Division is
fortunate to have Audrey as a Principal.’ - 2014

To Whom it May Concern:
In response to the _____________ position I am enclosing a resume for your review. Please consider this
letter as my formal application presenting my background, education and experience. For the past 4 years
I have been the principal of A.B. Daley (K-6 elementary school) in Nanton, Alberta. A.B. Daley School’s
mission is to create a stimulating, positive learning environment for all our students. Through focusing
on literacy and numeracy we engage and inspire our students to be creative and innovative, to be
responsible citizens and to succeed in today's digitally fluent society.” I have worked collaboratively with
stakeholders to identify school goals, policies and aspirations that the school community strives to
achieve. Some of these initiatives include the re-designing of our learning commons, programming to
support literacy and numeracy and increasing the use of technology to the point where we are almost at a
1:1 ratio of students to devices – a true blended learning environment.
Previous experience includes being the Principal of Fort Assiniboine School (k-12), the Educational
Learning Technologies Coordinator for Pembina Hills School Division and classroom teacher k-12. I
worked diligently with staff at every location to bring google products, google resources, new technology
and a blended learning environment to students. I have been in the public education sector for almost 20
years and have worked very hard at gaining knowledge and expertise in a variety of realms.
Currently I am enrolled in a Human Resource Certification Program through the University of Calgary
where I hope to gain knowledge to support me as an educational leader. A natural progression after
obtaining my Masters in Educational Leadership in 2014.
I have very high expectations of success for myself, my colleagues and students of this division. I am a
motivator, a learning leader and I have made many partnerships throughout my career. I am very familiar
with early learning programs, inclusive education, VTRA, Working with Divisional Teams (FSL and
Behaviour Support Team) budgeting, technology, ADLC, k-12 programming and have expanded my
knowledge in the human resource realm. I consistently keep up to date with educational initiatives and
work hard to promote success for all students. I have a passion for technology, please check out my
digital portfolio/blog and the active links in this resume.
Thank you for taking the time to review my application. Please take a look at my E-Portfolio
(WordPress site) which contains a tremendous amount of educational information, certificates,
reference letters and evaluations. https://akluin.wordpress.com/
If you have questions, please call me at (780) 333-1279. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

“...I have seen Audrey do amazing things to support and encourage teachers in using technology to enhance the students’ learning. There are
teachers on our staff who have no fear of technology and welcome change, others are just beginning to accept technology’s inevitability. Audrey
has been able to encourage them all to stretch their horizon with videoconferencing opportunities, SMART boards, web access and many other
tools…..She has a tremendous understanding of technology complemented by “awesome teaching skills,” one of the teachers observed. “She has
the personality and skill to help other teachers understand technology and seamlessly combine it with good teaching practice to positively impact
student learning.”
