ESTABLISHMENT OF RED CROSS YOUTH COUNCIL AND TRAINING OF TEACHERS IN V ARIOUS RED CROSS SERVICES
TO: OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent SGOD Focal Person CID Focal Person School Heads and TIC's (Public Elementary, JHS, SHS) All Others Concerned
1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 102, s 2011 entitled Establishment of the RedCross Youth Councils and Training of Teachers in the Different Red Cross Servicesand as reiterated by the Philippine National Red Cross, this office announces theestablishment of the abovementioned council in every school.
2. Red Cross Youth Council aims to:a. inculcate humanitarian valuesb. instill the practice of healthy lifestylec. enhance youth leadership skills through service delivery; andd. advocate national and international :friendship.
3. More so, the organization process and requirements shall be followed in the conduct ofestablishing the council, and to appoint their teachers as Red Cross Youth CouncilAdviser who will undergo training under the Philippine National Red Cross. Theteachers are encouraged to be trained on the different trainings such as First Aid, BasicLife Support and Disaster Management.
4. Furthermore, each school shall submit supporting documents about the establishmentof the council. The documented reports shall be st1bmitted to Mr. Josephus Perseus
