Various Powder Analysis
The Hall Meter Flow Test (Method 1) was performed on the 17-4PH, Batch 2016000496, per ASTM B213 the powder exhibited a Positive Flow characteristic of 20.76 seconds per 50 grams units during the test.
The Apparent Density using a Hall Flow Meter per ASTM B212, obtained from calculations on the powder was of 3.42 g/cm3 with a constant volume of 25 cm3.
The Tapped Density per ASTM B527, obtained from calculations was 4.44 g/cm3 with a mass powder of 100g and a volume of 25 cm3.
The room where the experiments were conducted exhibits the following characteristics: Temperature is 22° Centigrade and Relative Humidity is at 34%.
