The purpose of this project is to determine what chemicals will take ink out of cloth. It is important because if you drop an ink pen and it stains your clothing and you can’t get it out.

We hypothesize that hairspray will remove ink from clothing the best. We believe this because one of our teammates mom tried it out and said it worked.

CONCLUSION Our hypothesis was incorrect . Water worked the best to take ink out of cloth. Water averaged 6.2, detergent average d2.8, alcohol averaged4.4, and hair spray averaged .3. If we did this again, instead of just putting the wet ink cloth right in, we would put it in dry and still wait for 24 hours.
