Radiography Program
• Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the national certifying examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.)
• Program graduates may choose to specialize in other imaging modalities such as:
– Nuclear Medicine Technology
– Ultrasound
– Radiation Therapy

Application Process
1. Meet with an Academic Advisor at any campus to review program
requirements and complete an Indian River State College Admission
Application.
2. Complete the Health Science Program Application online and pay the $30 fee
by the application deadline date.
3. Attend a Radiography Program Information Session – offered every 3rd
Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m.; H-118-C Main Campus.
4. Request high school, former schools and/or college(s) to forward official
transcript(s) to Admissions Office at IRSC by the application deadline date.

5. Review the Performance Standards.
6. Complete Anatomy & Physiology I with lab (required) with a grade of “C” or
better prior to the deadline date. It is highly recommended that Anatomy and
Physiology II with lab be completed with a grade of “C” or better prior to
enrollment in the program.
7. Arrange for and complete a 4 hour clinical observation at one of six local
hospitals. Take the Clinical Observation Form with you for your observation.
Upon completion of your observation, return the Clinical Observation Form to
the IRSC Radiography Program postmarked no later than the deadline date.
