THE APOSTROPHE
In the singular (just one) the apostrophe comes
before the ‘s’ :
that lady’s hat (one lady)
In the plural (more than one) the apostrophe goes
after the ‘s’ :
those ladies’ hats (the hats of those ladies)
Be careful, however, with plurals that do not end in
‘s’
men women children
