PROPOSED LAP PROCESS District of Highlands: South Highlands Local Area Plan

Below is the proposed LAP Process to be included in the Terms of Reference

for Phase 2 of the South Highlands LAP. This process outline is intended to

be high-level and serve as the starting point for a more detailed

Engagement Plan to be developed by the Project Team (in consultation with

the Task Force) at the beginning of Phase 2.

The process outline is organized in a hierarchy. The Project Stages are

numbered and in bold text. Notable Tasks with each Stage (not meant to be

exhaustive) are listed in the first level bullets. Example actions, topics, and

events are listed in the second level of bullets. Moreover, the intent of each

Stage is briefly summarized in the right-hand column.

LAP.

The outcomes of Stage 2

will feed directly into the

creation of an early draft

LAP in Stage 3.
